We are thrilled to announce a new podcast recorded by true acid techno pioneer RACHEL RACKITT. Rachel, owner and creator of Loud By Design Bookings DJ agency, and once an employee of London’s infamous Kinetec Records ( Little Portland Street, Oxford Circus 2002-2006). A party pirate who has rinsed the hell outta underground music and parties since the dawn of day! In 1996 she put needle to record and started mixing. Over the past 28 years she has made a name for herself as one of the most talented and versatile free party and underground DJ's around. She has showcased her style of Banging Acid Techno all throughout the UK playing clubs, festivals and some of the more infamous Teknivals. Additionally, she has played overseas events in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe, North and South America. 2002 – 2024. Rachel celebrates 22 years in music management. She started her journey in 2002 as the booking agent for the legendary ‘Liberator DJ’s (Chris, Aaron and Julian) and now runs her own agency, Loud By Design Bookings. This was set up in April 2017 to better represent the changing musical styles of her artists, supporting and promoting the evolution of their individual works as well as seeking out new horizons. The emphasis of Loud By Design is to better represent, support and offer quality dance music artists that have a strong reputation and solid history within the underground scene, both nationally and internationally, as well as offering diversity with artistic styles that range from techno and hard techno to breaks and Acid. In 2004 Rachel collaborated with US DJ, Sarah F.A.B, from Forever & Beyond Distribution (co-owned by Justine Cullen) to create The Vinyl Vixens. Originally an all-female DJ agency, the Vixens transformed into a DJ duo that set about flying the flag for quality female DJ’s. We are glad to announce another inspiring female artist straight from the Romanian scene - MAICĂ-TA. Hailing from Timișoara, Romania, has been a dynamic force in the DJ scene since 2017. A versatile and multi-genre artist, she has carved out a name for herself with her electrifying performances and deeply innovative mixes. Her sets are not just performances—they're immersive experiences that captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression. With an innate passion for music, Maică-ta has become a well-known figure in the Romanian electronic music scene, consistently pushing the boundaries of sound and creativity. Her ability to seamlessly blend genres and experiment with new rhythms and beats has earned her a loyal following, both locally and beyond. A new podcast was recorded for us by another talented female artist ELECTRO LISA. Get the taste of the Dresden vibe! Electro Lisa is a dynamic artist known for her unique mix of Techno and Hard Techno, enriched by genres like Hard Trance, 90s Rave, Breaks, Acid, and Electro. Her sets, characterized by groovy and dark sounds, captivate audiences with their energetic symbiosis and pulsating rhythms. A vinyl enthusiast, Electro Lisa quickly established herself in the local underground free techno scene, performing at club parties and festivals. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Free Tekno Soundsystem Rave Factory, which aims to expand the boundaries of electronic music and create an inclusive, discrimination-free space. In 2023, she joined the feminist DJ collective Prozecco, which focuses on gender equality, diversity, and promoting young talent in the music industry. Electro Lisa continues to push the boundaries of electronic music and proudly represents both collectives. Another podcast recorded for us talented MADALBA. From Detroit to Berlin, this girl has it all. At age 22 she approached the local scene as DJane with numerous performances in the club circuit of Bari. Through the years she has developed a continued and careful respect of the musical experience. She moved to Berlin in 2011 and started DJing with only vinyl records. This helped her to build a strong reputation as an underground techno DJ, providing opportunity for her to play in clubs such as Tresor, About Blank, SchwuZ, SO36 and Mikz in Berlin where she lives today. In September 2011, she moved to Detroit where she started the collaboration with DJ Seoul, Tom and Angie Linder of Detroit Techno Militia. This travel has definitely and radically changed her approach to the techno concept, which she considers more a political and social phenomenon and a lifestyle than just a musical genre. In Summer 2018 Madalba became resident dj at the historical club Tresor in Berlin. The same year she started a new collaboration with the London based crew Aria with a party series in the UK capital. Currently, she is techno resident dj and co-organizer of the party Buttons in About Blank teaming with Danilo Rosato, Anna Bolena, Jabob Meehan, Shingo Suwa, Akirahawks, Paolo Di Nola and Stanley Schmidt.
