Biography:
DJ Kilobyte's allegiance is to Montreal's renegade underground techno crew
Level 4 Productions. Sworn into the sect in by commander-in-chief Sarcastic in 2001, he's been operating under cover of darkness since, dropping hard funky techno beats tinged with London-acid and old school flavours. Never succumbing to the pressures of an ever-increasing technology-driven market, which would have DJs believe their skills lay in their possession of the latest fancy blinking gadgets, Kilobyte's weapons of choice remain the Technics 1200s, reflecting his continiung appreciation of the "old school". Kilobyte's rule of thumb : simple is best. Kilobyte has manned the wheels of steel at countless techno nights in Montreal clubs, as well as at Level 4's 2002 bash !OneLove, and in 2003 at Level 4's legendary underground rave Flux. He can be often found committing tribal tek murder alongside Level 4's Freebass, mixing simultaneously on four decks under the moniker of Worker & Parasite. Together, they bring a harmonious blend of gritty, uncomprimising techno to the dancelfloor, often in excess of 145bpm's. Amidst indulging his propensity for caustic rhythms, Kilobyte spends his time studying the chemical principles behind synaptic and dopaminergic reactions in the human brain.
