Nexus' 42nd event is our radio show full to the brim with the finest techno from around the UK and further afield.

This month we're delighted to welcome Michelle Manetti from London & Raumtester from Moscow alongside Nexus resident Loss Function.

[ Femmme Fraiche / Lipstick Disco ]

DJ, vocalist and promoter Michelle Manetti is an active advocate for supporting and promoting marginalised and underrepresented artists in the music scene. She was the founder and Chief Editor of prestigious female-run, female-focused music blog www.lipstickdisco.co.uk which in its short operation built up an enviable reputation within the industry and among its solid fan base for showcasing the finest and freshest underground House, Techno and Disco, with particular emphasis on promoting female talent.

2015 saw Michelle collaborate with Sandra Le to launch Fèmmme Fraîche – a Bi-Monthly female-focused queer girl party at London’s prestigious queer hot-spot Dalston Superstore; showcasing female, female identified and non-binary House and Techno DJ’s,

Michelle is also a well-established, well-respected and revered DJ in her own right, with a strong presence on the East London underground queer scene, regularly playing parties such as Adonis, Savage and Shutdown. With over 17 years of experience under her belt, she has played worldwide alongside the likes of Honey Dijon, Tom Trago, Roi Perez, Dennis Sulta, Marshall Jefferson & Horsemeat Disco, + many more, with regular appearances at Berlin’s Tresor and London’s Dalston Supertstore plus guest and DJ sets at venues such as Ipse (Berlin), Sisyphus (Berlin) vrankrijk (Amsterdam) XOYO, Egg, Ministry Of Sound, Scala, Oval Space, 93 Feet East, Village Underground, Micks Garage, Hangar & The Cause plus many of the forgotten gems such as Pasha, Turnmills, Dance Tunnel, The Coronet, Canvas, The Cross and Plan B.

[ Popoff Kitchen - Moscow / St Petersburg ]

DJ & Producer from both Moscow & Saint Petersburg. His musical preferences include meaty variety of different genres from vocal house and groovy techno to dirty industrial and psychedelic rock.

Being a resident at Moscow finest queer techno party called Popoff Kitchen he seems to be composing the new electronic anthem of Russian independence and freedom.

[ Nexus / Techno.fm ]

Nexus and Techno.fm resident Loss Function's techno sets defy categorisation. With influences drawn from a couple of decades raving across the UK and Europe - he plays rave-influenced techno from the harder end of the spectrum, but making sure the groove stays high.

He's been holding down hugely well-received regular sets at Nexus and on Nexus radio over the last couple of years, and with guestmixes, DJ gigs and festival slots across the UK and abroad over the past year (including gigs in Bucharest, Stockholm and Berlin) and upcoming - his signature style is deservedly getting a wider airing.
