2009-09-07@13:50 Claude VonStroke's new artist album, Bird Brain, is due to hatch on October 19th.

Hot on the heels of his recent Fabric mix CD, the new long player from Claude VonStroke, real name Barclay Crenshaw, lightens the tone from his bustling debut, 2006's Beware Of The Bird.

Hemmed by his trademark heavy basslines, Bird Brain is inspired by Crenshaw's home base of San Fransisco, and includes the occasional trip into sun-drenched downtempo and deep house. Labeled as "VonStroke 2.0," the smoother sound still promises to be "chock full of dirty, slutty, dank, funny and giggling cuts." The tracklist features co-productions with J Phlip ("California") and Justin Martin ("Beat That Bird"), plus a guest appearance from Bootsy Collins on "The Greasy Beat."
